Jess grew up in Indiana, which is a hotbed for veterinary talent at Ghent Vet. She worked through high school as a veterinary assistant before going to Purdue University for Veterinary Technology. Jess obtained her AS in Veterinary Technology in 2008 and BS in 2010.
She also holds an AS in animal science specializing in beef cattle production, but decided to jump into emergency medicine when she graduated school. Jess has worked as a Veterinary Technician in TX, SD, IN, WA, and VA as the Navy sends her husband around the country. She has 3 kids, 2 dogs, a cat, and 6 chickens. She enjoys wine making with her husband, bike riding with her family, and videogames
